School Project: Digikervan 2000-01
In 2000 Bilkent University started a new course leaded by Prof.Dr.Bulent Ozguler
“GE
401-402 Innovative Product Design and Development”. A course that gathers five
professors from five diffetent departments and students are to create a joint
technological project. Electrical, Computer Sceince, Industrial Engineering,
Bussiness Administration and Graphic Design deparments were involved. There were
four teams with respective departments and four projects. Digikervan was a kiosk
and a web based ticketing system for esspecially bus companies in Turkey and
succeeded to become the first company among others at a virtual stock exchange
held by the proffessors and instructors at the university. The project never
had a chance to actually take a start in reallife. The brand name, logo, website
were found and developed with the approvement of the team.
Self Initiated Project: Nemonics Network 2001-Present; Webhosting and Domain Registration Services
Nemonics Network started as a private label brand to sell web hosting packages and domain registration services . The project started as with a shared server having similar companies providing the same service. Later I upgraded to a managed dedicated server with full adiministration contol. This project sold nearly hundered domains and is still hosting about 50 domains on the server.
